I moved away from North Duotone around the same time as the rebranding, not because of the name, I found the prices for gear to be at least 10% higher than some other brands.
I've actually moved over to a quiver of Blades which I got at a decent price.
I used to think "huh, Blades, poor mans kites" but actually they are great, boost is great, I am really happy.
Made me finally realise it's all marketing bollocks.
The whole keeping with a brand because you know what you're getting can be a bit of a financial trap I think.
Great kites. I went the other way but still have a fat lady. Love Blade kites.

Quick Quiz
How many old North kiters will go to new North?
Nah...like going from a Rebel to a Switchblade
I stopped buying B&M North after 2018.

I was actually surprised, Duotone are probably still my favorite out of what I've ridden but I just can't justify the price to myself at the moment.

Do you think new North will come out with a fully developed bar at launch?
Looking at Nick at the KOTA and megaloop recently it looks like he's using a the collaborative design that Tona and Peter Lynn have.

Looks like they just did!
Click-in CL reset, full set of easily interchangeable loops, nice trim handle, SK99 lines...

Anyone know how much cheaper the New north kites are compared to Duotone? Can't seem to find pricing.

I think North is just a tiny bit cheaper than duotone.

In the Netherlands about €50 cheaper compared to Duotone.

That video from MACkite was great, I always like their stuff and despite them having awesome riders but you can still see how much better nick makes the gear look and how much bigger he goes.
