I wonder if it is a good idea to put shrunk tape( electrical used usually) on the lines to keep it together (lines after the 8 knot). Red tape in the middle of the picture. Thanks .

Not sure why you'd need it, but it probably won't hurt anything as long as the safety line can function completely.
I had Kiteboarding.com do a Click Bar for me with the stuff, and it's really pretty impressive line. My one niggle is the lines are so rigid that when it's very cold, they become completely stiff and keep their shape. Unwinding the bar and rewrapping is like winding 20 gauge wire. I had self landed in very cold water a couple weeks ago and the lines fought me the entire time. Minor detail, but something to think about in cooler climates.

I've seen chafing of the Q-power jacket at the end of heat shrink.

@foil nothing, I was trying to do a knot so I can attach a loop. What do you do do make a knot that you can attach a loop: the same 8 knot ?

How was the bar after the line change? Is click bar functioning fully? Does lines have a way different feel to North/Duotone lines? Did kites feel and fly different?

I’d use a pigtails on the end of the q power line for attaching to the kite.

Yes. Make that same figure 8 loop. You'll have a small loop after the knot that you won't use that's the best way to maintain the strength of the lines. I usually end everything in loops and then make pigtails but if you want to use q-powerline entirely make all figure 8 loops and use the knot that you get from making a figure 8 loop with a really small loop at the end. I sometimes will just use q-power and no pigtails but if you do this you know eventually after a few years, the loops and knots wear down a bit and you have to cut them and remake the loops and knots.

Foil those look like granny (square)knots on the q-power? They make the line MUCH weaker than using figure of 8. I tested years back (no scale, just a 8x pulley and me pulling) and I could easily tell that granny knot q-power broke at much lower tension that figure of 8.
