SOUL will stay for a longer time unchanged, as it works as it is. For sure no SOUL V2 next 12 month.
I’m still waiting on the Sonic 3. Why such the delay?

Have fallen into the must get the V2 years ago with a different brand, only to be thoroughly disappointed.Ended up staying with the V1 for a long time as was a superb kite.
I’d expect 2 years until we hear something of a Soul 2. Flysurfer use to release new models once a big improvement is developed(and most of the remaining stock was sold) but now they’re one a 2 year cycle. I wonder if they’re going back to the old way.

Hi

We only release a new product when it is a big enough step forward again. We need to test it a for a long enough time to be sure, that it has no weak points.
Sonic 2 has still some time on the market, until it we will release a successor.

Cheers, Armin

You have mentioned on the OASE forum that you are trying to stick to a 2 year cycle after so many people got upset when you replaced the Sonic1 so quickly.

I would think using the new fabric from the Soul would be a huge step forward just in itself. I loved my Sonic2 11m but it was not nearly as airtight as my Souls and the lotus cloth on the leading edge would disform the shape at times. The new fabric would solve both of these and you have in the past with previous models released kites just with different fabric. With such a short time between the Sonic1 and 2(which I got burnt on) and now such a long wait between the 2 and 3(almost 3 years) it's frustrating. Perhaps you guys are still deciding between calling it the Speed 6 or Sonic 3.

We was forced to release the Sonic 2 as IKA cycle was 1 year at the time to register new material for racing. We made the Sonic Race and VMG, which not is only for racing and IKA now also use longer cycle´s. We love the X-light Fabrics and will use it for more products in the future.
Give us the time to make a great new Sonic. The Sonic 2 is still our best hang time machine.

To Armin: interesting self landing method. Can you still control the kite while pulling the lines or is it just flapping around. At the end of the video I got the impression that you are steering it a bit.

Would be great if you could also start like this, just reversing the procedure. We have so little space where I kite here and last time water starting was not possible to a huge amount of algae - the first time that I felt a ram air was just not suitable compared to a LEI.

This is not a safe and reliable solution. The steering with the frontlines is super limited. To use shorter lines is the better solution.
You build something yourself like the vario line kit we used for the Viron 1 and 2.

Here a video from Peter Goldbach:

Armin, still recommends you the Sonic 2 over the Soul in terms of oldschool?

Thanks!

Yes, if you have the knowledge about soft kites. The Sonic 2 has more hang time you can get out there.

Our Hollywood Person, Sabrina Parisi jumped higher than all other man/woman in USA.
