Probably a 2007 or later. That's when they put battens on the leading edge. Just make sure none are broken as they could possibly tear the pocket they are in.

In addition, the 2006’s had even sizes.

Yep for sure for sure
This orange kite (2007) as the exact same color scheme as the pink one the OP posted...majority of leading edge is in "color"...and not in black

Looks like the 2nd year. I think mine was the first year 2005? If I remember correctly it had less black on it. This or the BFK (I can't remember which I got last) were the last Best kites I got.
I got severe buyers remorse after trying the Boxer SLE.

Counter to what people here are saying I do not think these kites live up to today's standard at all. For 75, you can't go wrong tho if you are willing to put in the time to repair etc...because that will be a given for kites that are 10+ years.

Because the post above cast some doubt, I will add to the 2007 vote. I'm 100% sure this is a 2007 or 2008 at a glance, and if it does not have the a/b/c rear line attachment points then its a 2007. Generally it was a solid flying well built kite. Sure, for 10x as much you might get a newer better kite but it sounds like a decent price.

Two common things done to that kite was to take out the leading edge battens, since they did very little and could be easily damaged, and also to play with the wingtip bridle. On my 17m I went to a single attachment point at the back (what they call an A-A attachment on the 2008 Waroo) and it speeds up the turning, but you need longer arms to fully depower. It might be less of a good idea if you fly it in a lot of wind overpowered since it does not hold the shape quite as well. It might be most commonly done on the bigger sizes.

Peter

edit: for the historians listing off the 2006 sizes, don't forget the 5 and 7. :)

I am sure it is a 2007. I have 9, 12, and 14 nemesis's, 2007 which I still fly. The 14 is the same pink color. :thumb:

After learning on a C kite, Naish Torch, I bought a brand new Waroo. I remember giggling after a few run, how easy is this compared to the Torch which constantly tried to kill. Though in years to come I learned to loved C kites. Thankyou Best for bringing this to market.
One thing to look at is the canopy cloth between the centre strut and second strut out near the trailing edge. If it has had plenty of use you get lines in the ripstop and it will tear easily. Seemed to effect the dayglo colours,
