Just got my hands on this beauty. For anyone seeking the perfect light wind machine which is also light as a feather...had one session so far and compared to my old door, it’s a dream, full of flex, through waves like a knife through butter; was popping, toe side joy, carving away....swishy swishy
Anyone looking for an early Xmas gift to themselves....??

Good question !
At 90 kg I had a wave tt made by Nomad for lighter winds, at 153 x 43 I get going and have fun in 12 knots with an Enduro 14m. Keep it until about 16 knots then move down on board and sail. It has the standard rocker. Way way better than the other light wind boards I had in the past (rrd 145x45 if i remember and Mako King)
Nomad has a light wind specific rocker wich would reduce the planing threshold a bit but reduce upper ranger comfort I guess. Apollo4000 has that flatter rocker. Water friction is low on a ´glass’ board finish, you can get away with a bit board.

Hmm that doesnt look like a very light wind board... Im guessing your using the 12m Soul ? then yes its gonna fly
This is my very Light wind board 135x47 - not much point having a long board swinging its weight half way out of the water.
Medium wind - Crazy fly LTD 135x41
High Wind F-one Trax 134x39
Yes Im not a Brand bitch
but Black boards are easily lost, and thats a bitch

All good questions and points and a lovely board STW, big-ups to Mr DM. You make a good point about black being hard to see, but on light wind days it's not as big a worry. If it’s nuking down at Camber on a 7m I’ve got a very colourful board or a Go-Joe
.
I’m 83kg. Until last week I only had a CF Cruiser 145x44 for light wind sessions, which I like but now realise is less manoeuvrable and heavier. I normally ride the CF on hols in Majorca during afternoon thermals on 14/17m Rebel/Trigger/Fat Lady. One session isn’t enough to judge the Nomad in all scenarios no matter how stoked a fan-boy I am
; pairing the Soul will definitely be interesting. I’m off to Lefkada in a month and hoping these two will make an awesome travel pairing given they’re both lighter in weight than my normal setup..my wife will delighted to see an end to the checkin stress
.....and of course say hi if you’re ever on the same beach and I’ll let you have a go so you can decide.

Well looks like your all set for a great Holiday in some very exotic places - lucky you, until the wife makes you look after the bags, watching from the beach
Post a pic or 2 for us Down Under Ozyland in mid winter

You’re so right on the bit about watching from the beach. Thanks buddy. Will do. Enjoy the cricket.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread...I have been demoing a Nomad Superleggera light wind board - crazy light and amazing board but don't think I can really stomach the price tag. Any idea what your 142 light wind board weighs? Interested in how much difference it makes - the Superleggera 142 X 43 is 1.6kg.
Thanks in advance!

Simon offered me to have it for a few months (annoyingly most of it in lockdown so I’ve only managed to use it twice - roll on 29th March when hopefully in UK we’ll be allowed to travel to exercise again) so I was happy to oblige. Yes the cost is ridiculous but the standard version is less than half the price, hence the question. It is definitely the first light wind board I’ve tried that is actually worth having.
