Had a weird foil failure yesterday... kiting on small lake and around middle of area we kite (,,,lake level more full than usual).. got knocked of the board... and this is what the foil looks like now....??? there doesn't seem to be any major evidence along the leading edge... there is a scratch on the bottom left (second pic down)
that was my first time out on this setup... the foil was a demo from a shop in very good shape
any ideas on the best way to fix it?

Looks like it’s delaminating. Probably manufacturing flaw, depending on how old Wing is. Would take back to store.

Indeed, a manufacturing error and should be replaced (the shop has to get a new wing), not your fault unless you have hit a sandy bottom straight on of course, then it might delaminate like that, but still bad workmanship the way it opens up...

This is a known issue with a batch of the Infinity wings. They will replace it.

How many times over the years have we heard of this from SS.
Kites needing new bridles, boards delaminating.
Now with foils.
Seems it’s better to rush for market share then deal with the lack of R&D latter.

So this is the infinity wing from Slingshot, I know Moses supply some foil gear to Slingshot but not this range I believe,
so who is the main brand who makes this for SShot? or do Slingshot design some of their own foil gear without using a main foil brands input.
just checked the price of that wing, Yikes! near the price of a budget foil board.
I have seen another brand of front wing start to open up in exactly the same way, but that was user error, high speed into sharp rocks, but only came apart at the front edge for around 10cm, it was epoxy fixed and looked like new after. but that above is major, and folded back when it went, must have looked like a basking sharks mouth under water.
someone will fix it and happily use it no doubt.
