Its difficult to give direct advice, without knowing one's preference...
Me for example, I enjoy foiling in high wind and have been foiling NE Brasil the past 3 years.
(80kg)
I'm in Taiba now... where getting through the beach break is a challenge, after that its all good.

Cheers
I totally agree, there is always some interpretation /extrapolation. Not many high wind foilers in my home spots affects my judgment.
For my personnal knowledge what sail size do you use.

We have wind, you don't need a foil

I go down to 5m now and up to 25-30 knots.

You got it all wrong, we (me) use foil because we like it and not because there is no wind...

"Wind is strong for foiling, at 90kg I often use 8m on tt,mostly 9m, rarely 10. Dont think you will foil on light days, they dont happen in Nov and if they do you will want/nead a break."

I was foiling today in Taiba. Had the whole beach for myself covering distances from taibinha to the lagoon height down and upwind. Riding swells and spoting some sea wildlife in 15+ knots. Some people may call it weird but as a brazilian what I think of weird is someone travel from far away to stay at one same crowded lagoon doing sonsense tricks.

Anyway. Different point of views.. fun is what really matters

a foil can do pretty much everything a surfboard or twin tip can do.....only much better.

goes upwind better, surfs smaller waves...surfs faster waves, jumps highers, smells better, flies in less wind..can pump to surf in no wind... handles chop better,...it only doesnt handle the ankle deep water very well.

if the water is at least waist deep...no reason to not foil
