Don't like the wrist leash
Don't like the ankle leash
Don't like the no harness and no flying strings
Don't like the floppy wing action
Don't like the not so low end of 12 kn
Don't like the slowness and wobbliness

Did kiting look this gay when it first started? The fat huge boards, giant tube in the face and coil leashes are just screaming super kooky.

Dude! Did you just post a pic of a guy carrying the gear on the beach as an example of a cool wingsurf shot?

Q: Paddy how many chickens in the bag?
A: Well Mick, if you can guess how many I’ll let you have both of them.

Three!

Why is the leash attached to the wing in that location?

It seems to me that there would be an advantage if the wing hovered in the air on the leash. I leash to the pump leash point on my kites sometimes when I am walking back to where I want to pack the kite down and if there is enough steady wind, the kite will just hover on the leash. The wing seems close to being a shape that should hover if attached at an ideal point.

what windsurfers?
i'm think that functionally pretty much *all* might *be* kitesurfers now.
cabarete beach used to be one of the prime windsurf location...i don't think i've seen more than 4-5 windsurfers (at any one time) on the water all season.
there has to be some type of critical mass required for the sport.

concerning this duotone wing...

i personally havent seen one in the wild...and i'm not exactly sure when one would want to use that(at least in cabarete)....unless they are contractually obligated to use it.

We've still two large clubs just up the lake from our kitesurf club, being filled up with university clubs and grumpy middle aged men.

Our club has two large sheds full of windsurf gear that seems to be used by only two retired blokes...everyone else kites. Oh except for the SUP guy, who gave up kiting...he used to ride race boards but when the racers moved to foils, he gave up on it.

They were out there trying to wing SUP foil the other day. Wasn't very successful because the wind was light.

We kite foilers rocked off upwind shaking our heads...just seems like a total waste of effort, especially in our crap "waves".
