The Ketos Kruizer, a tad smaller, got more lift less loss and I can definitely ride in somewhat less wind than with the 1200 wings (Ketos 1200V2Kool or Moses Onda 633)
Hope Moses brings out a similar wing to the Kruizer soon

I think the Ketos Kruiser is currently the light wind foil of choice. The thing that stands out is low friction, it does not have as much drag for being a big wing that can also go slow. It can go slow and it can go fast. Not real fast but fast for a big wing. So you can get up on the foil and let the apparent wind build.
Obviously we are talking about 4 knots - 5 knots. Once you get to 6 knots things get much easier and 7 knots is not even light wind anymore.

How can you be so sure that this wing is the best? Other candidates might be the signature albatross wing mentioned earlier, Moses 790 which is higher aspect and downwind SUP race wings like the LP 1300 (AR of 5.2)

Hold on! 7 knots is still light wind right!

Has anyone tested the Moses 790 for light wind compared with the 633?

By my references yes. Difference in measurement at that wind level make comparison tough.
Now doubt 8 knots in Corpus is 12 knots Hawaiian.

My light wind kite is a BRM C2 17m on 27m lines and with my homemade surf foil I find my primary limitation is waterstart. I think I need about 6-7 knots but dunno. I can stay upwind and ride through transitions in wind I cannot waterstart in. I have a fairly big but low volume board. Maybe a high volume board would waterstart lower.
It is plenty of fun and feels like cheating to ride around in such high low wind! But now I want to go faster!

Interested to know people's opinions on the best ultra-lightwind hydrofoil wing?
I'm interested to know whether there is anything much better than the Moses 633 wing? Perhaps somthing large but higher aspect and faster?
Or is the kite being light enough to be able to stay in the sky normally the critical factor rather than the hydrofoil itself?
i have have not touched my moses 633 since i've received a moses 790 wing.

J,
I am cheap and a have mess of funny gear, including the C217. I do like it but hard work when overpowered (i drop onto a door type twintip when so).
I saw your woodwing and loved it. Time ago I started looking at the "skateboard deck" foil, which looks doable for about 150€, then looked at the gong surf & sup foils, (but missed the discount) at around 450€.
so keen to get the 6 - 12kn summer sessions and though this could do it....make or buy. I would also like ot make a bing 2000cm downwinder wing. +
decisions, decisions!
