Can somebody please explain the differences between the Moses kite and surf fuselages?
1) Is there any performance difference between the old (2017) and new kite fuselage?
2) What is the difference between the various surf fuselages available (including aftermarket options).
Thanks!
Old kite fuselage has identical wing-mast-stabilizer position but the old one:
- has pointy, sticking out nose and tail (could be a safety concern)
- has a slight, tiny gap between surface of leading edge of the wing and mount surface of the fuselage
Two of above contribute to collecting seaweed if present where you ride. Otherwise it’s just fine fuselage to use
749/710 fuselages have different length but ride pretty much the same. Stringy’s 743 and 610 have mast positioned way closer to the wing which allows mounting mast more forward on the board (or keep the mast where it is if board holes are static)
I enjoy combination of 683s/710/450 as besides great foil combo it fits into foil pouch.

You can find Jim Stringfellow on Facebook (Cloudriders, and Hydrofoil groups. Also Northwest Kiteboarders). He is located in Vancouver WA near Portland.

Any idea why Moses decided to shorten the surf fuselage by 39mm? Must have been some logic behind the change?
There was quite some feedback on 749 mast<->wing position resulting in more of front foot pressure (or need to move the mast on the board) and I would guess it might have had some effect on the decision, however not only mast got closer to the wing, but also stabilizer got closer to the mast so there's no front foot stance/pressure effect from that.
710 is more compact and is 50 grams lighter for what its worth. Rides the same so why bother with bulkier I guess
I'm glad that it fits into Slingshot foil pouch with 710
Maybe still Moses will do and release bigger foil mast than 111cm for 2020 year ??
It's much much funner to fly with longest as possible mast than short.
I dreaming about much much longer mast than is available today from Moses or Slingshot, and it's not possible to purchase it, because it's simple not made for purchase - i dreaming about foil mast of 122 cm or 144 cm lenght.
My idea is to melt to slinghot masts for example 41cm+91cm to one mast and put it to moses fuselage (As i have all Onda).
Can someone tell me it''s possible in real life to melt two alumiunn Slingshot masts to one, and it will be ridable and can stand for 74kg weight in normal speed (i'm not speaking about extreme race speeds) ?

Houston Kiteboarding guys did it and they were excited to talk about it too.
