foil plate attachment to foam surfboard?

foil plate attachment to foam surfboard?
I'm trying to find a low cost entry point into prone surf foiling and have been considering foil mount vs 1000 dollar board, but was hoping for an in-between option. Any thoughts on the feasibility of inserting a track mount into a foam board like the catch surf "stump" model? Seems like a good size and buoyancy for a surf foil.

This person has done it to a Wavestorm board... Kind of looks like they added some sort of reinforcement and screws?
