That video isn't really selling the dream, mate!
Wind's blowing its tits off, and you see people lining up with humongous boards that have surrendered every ounce of sexiness.

I think it looks great. At the start you see R Naish blast off and he does a beautiful carving transition. The Naish wing looks nice in the air. Everybody else looks a bit kooky but they all get it together in the end.

There's no way you would be able to have such a close pack of people racing with kites. Any day with time spent up on a foil is a good day.

Kai? Same way he does everything: skill, great conditions, geeat gear, cost no object ( compared to most at least).
Hopefully more useful answer: getting in sync with waves and wind.

There are videos out there of Kai beach starting a foil (dock start but without a dock) so he can do anything.

Haha, funny sheit :) well, in all honesty, there’s still a quite a long way for this sport to be sport. Could be fun for some?, and of course manufacturers are trying to sell everything and anything, but I don’t see use for these other than in waves. For flat water, who would choose these over kites or if the launch spot is very diffcult, get a windsurfer. Smaller boards, and you have the whole world for freestyle etc. if you want and are capable of.

i've seen a jet ski on water filming him ( which has a rope on board if needed for waterstarts)

Indeed, so much nicer than expected:
first hour:
In total runing about one mile upwind. From secound jibe onwards all flying ones, even some with foot switch. But didn't get immediately boring, ... anyway have to check the trictionaries for the next hour :D

And can't wait to try it without training wheels, if it works as well as expected, the fun gots to be tremendous

And even if not having tried the other wings yet, I am pretty sure DUOTONE this time has hit the target better than anybody else. It is very nice constructed without producing more effort than necessary. :thumb:
