It doesn't look at all like a pure C shape, the 2020 looks very similar to the current model to me, and the wave model is only subtly different as far as I can tell. Happy with what I've got though!

Bandit-s only exist in the smaller sizes like 9m. The bandit 2020 is the only option for the bigger sizes.

In my option they should keep the old bandit also as allround kite.

Exactly, what about all those customers who want an all-round F-one kite?

same here..
loving the 2019 Bandit and I normally change every year to the newest Bandit. Now I am really confused which Bandit I should choose as Allrounder.. I love big boosting with big hangtime.. I don't think the 2020 would have more hangtime in the same wind like the 2019, cause the shape in the middle is the same. Wider tips means, lower projceted area so leass hangtime..
which kite now to chose as allrounder for bigair hangtiming, freeriding and foiling??

If you select a large size 2020 (11m+ for freeride) and then smaller S sizes thats going to be similar to the 2019 all-rounder which were ( kiting style) optimised the same way.

So if the Bandit 2020S ist better for hangtime in the smaller sizes than the 2020, I would stay with the 2019.
I am looking for the 8 and 10 to change to 2020, but if I check the shape of the 2020 (Non S) I am really sure, the Hangtime cant be better in the same windrange. For example 10m in 20 knots. Would be really intesting comparing a 10m 2019 vs 10m 2020 in height and hangtime. The tips are wider that means less projected area. Maybe better for megalooping in capetown in 35kts+ plus but that is not the normal target group....

I still remember, a few years ago, the f-one fanboys joking about north (now Duotone) and the need to have five different models of kites in their range ... "Bandit, a kite to rule them all" they said .. Later they launched the Breeze and the Furtive, then the WTF ... and now this ... Well, welcome to the real world F-one

Few years ago F-One could not be compared to North. F-One started (and still is) as a small family business which budget did not allow the development of different models so they concentrated on producing one all round model to please most riders. It was a success.
In the past few years though things have changed , the brand has grown exponentially (+35% on exports in 2018 and +78% in 2019). This allows them to now diversify and offer a wider choice of products.
Nevertheless fact is the Bandit kite is probably the only kite ever produced to claim podium of wave/ speed, and freestyle events within the same year.
