Nice, Just bought a 15m Juice 30min ago... :o
Don't bother, you might like it, since it was personal opinion of this man. Maybe he has other requirements for the kite than the rest of you.

Can't speak for myself, but I had a chat with a dude who had Juices and sold them all. Said that he absolutely disliked those kites. He even rented 18m Duotone Juice and remained the same opinion about this kite. Asked to try out my 12m Soul and he was much more impressed by it, than the Juice.

Absolutely don't agree with that opinion (at least on the 2018 model). I've been on the water so many times with this kite when everybody else was standing on the shore with their arms crossed because of lack of wind. Even in 12-16 knots wind I am easily cruising upwind, making jumps, double backrolls, darkslides and more with very nice hangtime. I believe the Juice is one of the best kites out there if you want to ride twintip with low wind and still have a great time. The depower is also good enough not to fly away when the wind suddenly picks up to 20-22 knots.

Myself I am looking if the kite had any more improvements from the 2018 model. If so I will chunk down some more money for an upgrade, it's that good.

Comparing a 18m kite to a 12m is dumb af.

Last time I owned a Juice 15m (1.5 years ago now), I still loved it. I was able to do unhooked moves with it. Could with a float-ier surfboard get down into the single digits knots easy. Lowest rideable was 6knts, more enjoyable at 8knts (I'm about 155 w/o wetsuit). Only got out of Juice's because I got a foil + got tired of super low wind riding and the possibility of a swim.

Only reason to get the 18m is if you're at or over the 200lb mark.

Me and that dude are both over that mark. Yet he was on a Juice and, from his words, struggled to go upwind, while I was on 12m Soul with a Flydoor. Wind was around 10-12 knots. Yet he took my kite and his 140-ish twintip, he went upwind with no effort, even pulled a couple of jumps.

Comparing a LEI kite with a foil kite is a bit difficult. Yes, you will get better upwind performance but at the cost of kite speed. If going upwind is the main criteria it's pretty hard to beat a Soul. I don't really believe a 200lb guy will get any serious jumps out of a 12m Soul with 10-12kt wind on a 140 twintip though
