Hi everyone - has anyone tried the 14M sizes of any of these kites from 2018, or 2019 ?
I am trying to understand how they fly compared to the 12M versions, but am yet to find anyone who knows

14m kites of any brand always seem to accumulate a lot of hate: "It's just useless to have a kite bigger than 10m, and you are stupid if you buy it" a lot of people say.
If your 12m kite doesn't give you enough power, why not give a try to a 14m, specially if it is the kind of kite you are used to ride.

Yes - that was my plan, but i wanted to see if someone tried...
I am 85 KG and have a rather small board of 135cm. In sweden the most common wind is like 13-17 knots, which is just a bit to little for my bandit 12 at the moment. But as you said - everyone gives so much "hate" 14M historically (They are so slow etc.) So i wanted to hear if someone actually tried the more newer models. Even maybe a core 13.5

You say it yourself, you have a small board. I can't give you advice about a 14m kite because I don't have any experience with it but I do know that with a good 153 board you can easily use your 12m kite!

as other say- you need bigger board. 14m kite is 12m kite for fat guys. It has just a bit more grunt, but 14m kite is not light wind kite.
I kite also in Sweden, my main ones are 12 and 9 and use with 136X41 board (I am 80kg, 185cm). I have 16m as ligh wind, but to get upwind- I need bigger board. Small board+ big kite- I just plow water, not much upwind gain.

Hey . I don't have F-one but I have Naish pivot 12 and 14 m. both kites are from 2019. despite only these 2m, differences in wind range between both kites are really quite significant.

Hi,
I have 12 and 14 Ozone enduros because I share gear with my wife. For me at 90 kg the prefered wind window for the 14 is 13-16 knots. Used mainly when i travel to the caribean. Use it with my main board and a larger board, it is a session saver. This said it is significantly slower than the 12. I go down to 12 m as soon as I can. I use shorter 23 m lines when wind is good 25 and 27 m for lightest conditions. Since I bought the 14 I sold my 17. if i was alone I would probably do 12 to LW15 (3 struts). Use extensions it makes a significant difference in low wind.

Finally I did it! my 13m edge replaced for a 14 m enduro!
And I did that stupid change just for practice kiteloops in light wind.
My feelings... a 14 m kite is just too big for kiteloop properly, it just allows my to do half of the loop, but that said.. it allows me to try kiteloops in 14-15 knots intead of m 10m enduro (my favourite kite of all time of times!) that only gives me kitelooping power in 18-20 knots. So good swap!
I still have to try the 14M enduro with foil, and my feeling is that it's gonna be worst tan my presious 13m edge (ultra delta/bow kite) but if you chose a freeride allround kite, you trade things always.
Anyway, I think 14m kites don't desrve the hate most people have to them, but that said... I'm 90 kg...

It depends if its an upscaled 14m or a designed 14m. The Airush Lithium 14mLW is a great 14m, I cant comment on other brands but do some investigation on what 14m kites are designed and not just upscaled.
