Hi Guys,
I'm relatively new to kiting and unfortunately lost my first harness, Gaastra Blunt. I wasn't so satisfied with it, because the spreader bar with the hook was folding upwards all the time
.
My data: 1,96m / 6″5 big and weight around 115 kilos / 252 lb. Waist circumference 1,05m.
I'm looking for a new harness for big guys which is comfortable and stable (and has a stable connection between back and spreader bar). Anybody with simliar body and some good hint?
Best and thanks in advance
Niklas

Thanks for your idea! To be honest, I'm looking more for a waist harness or convertible seat with removable straps.

I'm not a big guy, but would allow myself to chime in:
- Gaastra Blunt is a windursf harness, isn't it? Have you tried a kitesurf harness with tie down straps on the spreader bar against rolling upwards? Makes a big difference for big guys!
- Try a shorter connection point spreader bar (slider rope, fireball, flexible hook like the HB Legacy harness)
- seat harness

You're right, it is / was windsurf.
The HB legacy looks really interesting, wow. I'm going to check this.
Beside that; I also take
- ION Apex 7
- Dakine Renegade
- Mystic Majestic
into consideration.

If you willing to consider a a seat the Dakine Fusion has strap to prevent the hook from going up and it's super comfortable the XL would fit you like a glove.

Try on a 2019/20 Mystic Majestic with a stealth spreader bar. They make XL and XXL and the stealth really stays put, the wings do work.

my goodness you are a big boy (err.... girl?)
i believe i saw a wrestling belt worn by a former great for sale on ebay... that shouldnt be too hard to convert into a kite harness.
....that said, dakine seat harnesses(for example) come in the big boy sizes
