My opinion (could be wrong) E-Bay will be full of these in a few months...

Hard to tell what will happen in the Future. For me, I am super stoked. I have the same enthusiasm for this as I did for Kitefoiling back in 2010 and for Supfoiling in 2016. It is so much fun to use the wing with a supfoil board and so much more free on waves compared to using a kite or windsurf sail.
I am really looking forward to bigger sizes so that we can start winging in lower winds and I think then a lot more people will understand the stoke. Just like foiling back in 2010 people need to try it and discover it for themselves. Back in 2010 everyone told me that foiling was stupid and that it would never get popular.

Nice one Gunnar,
have you also tried the Duotone Wing?
As You have a good overview, do you know any serial board inbetween big surffoil and small SUPfoil with inbetween 50 - 70 litres?
Today appart from 3te session and first succesful wing monofoiling was:
You can drag yourself out into the wind sitting on a 40 litre board, but you just will need quite some wind, force and balance to start it, not impossible but for now I am looking for something easier but lighter and hopefully more jumpable than my 80 litre board (with an extra 5 kg wood adapter plate
)
Do you know anything appart from custom made?
Thanks

Start looks interesting. Gunnar, Horst, please i want your opinions - do you think for people who never foil /my wife and kid/ is this more accessible than kitefoil? They can TT kitesurf at mowing the lawn level.
Many thanks!
I can imagine stoke and freedom of been "unhooked" and without any traditional kite hasle /which we are used to but they still exist/.
Tomas

Hi Tomas,
appart from that we all know that everybody will see this through his own eyes and I also don't want to push a commercial hype ... but,
for me it is way way more accessible than kitefoiling and so much less dangerous than any kiting or foiling sports. This together with the believe it could bring the joy of wind powered gliding experience on water to so much unexperienced people in short time, makes me promise it will become pretty big. As also the possiblity to start in low wind (even if not flying and looking stupid) makes it again very accessible to many.
Another point is that it is from many aspects much closer to kitesurfing and foiling than to windsurfing. So for us it will be more likely that someone will have wing and kite foil stuff which can be in parts the same in the trunk, instead of much more unlikely windfoil and kitefoil stuff with much less overlap in all aspects. And on the otherhand for windsurfing it is a bit less but a bit the same. So this new sport just closes the gab inbetween kite, windsurf and foiling in general.
But would be myself interested to hear what Gunnar as school owner thinks about it.

My impression (and everyone who has tried my wing) is that it is quite easy.. everyone has got up foiling (but they were all experienced kite hydrofoilers). This week I will get some of my kiter friends who have never hydrofoiled before to try it and I will report.
Incidentally Horst, I really think the wing thing is close to windsurf foiling.. just my impression. It's fun regardless.
And thanks Gunnar for your most informative report.
Here are more wing pictures..

Looking forward to your next video of playing in the waves. You've been ahead of the curve before so your opinion on this is valuable. I am at learning stage, finally got up on foil, but it has been harder than expected. Sounds like it's worth persevering....once competent, there will be fun in the surf.

Hi,
Yes I have had a go on the Duotone wing.
Custom Made is pretty much the only option at the moment for what you want. I am currently working on a 55 Liter Board for Indiana, but that is still in the prototype phase.
