What is the biggest kite you use for foiling?

My foil is a Moses Havok with a raceboard.

Here in Hungary, the 18 gets me on the water almost every single day, and never in my wildest dreams would I have thought back in my windsurfing days, that I'll be cruisin around, having fun every day, even in as low as 5-6 knots. Its magic!

Super light wind foiling is a specialized skill. It is way too early to ponder what your light wind foiling kite will be. Learn to foil in all conditions with your current kites. You may need to buyer some SMALLER kites to do this.

Everyone’s responses are interesting but really meaningless to you because there are so many individual variables including local wind, current, skill level, foil size, board size.

Gong Strutless 12m. Gets me foiling in 8 knots and will stay in the air in 4/5 Knots. Less than 8 knots the risk of swimming back is too great.

Why?

They stay in the air in way less, so riding in 7 knots should be no problem, even if it lulls to 3 or 4 you can keep it flying and loop yourself ashore

Of course, if you make a big mistake, you are toast - but that is the game, and good for learning "not to"

Beginner foiler here (kiter since august 2018, foiler since april 2019), so I probably need quite a bigger kite than someone technically better and more refined.

Largest size for me is 17m Airush Ultra v.2, on a Moses Onda 633 foil.

I was very skeptical of getting such a large kite, as everybody seems to agree "smaller is better" and "too large means too quickly overpowered", but at probably 115kg dressed with wetsuit/impact/helmet/harness (and even more when wet), I really need a serious kick to get on the board and get the mast out of the water in *low* winds.

The 17m will get me up in 7 knots (if I'm lucky even a tad less), which is huge for me: it basically means I can kite every single day or so if so I wish.

A much better kiter/foiler in my spot, with a similarly large hydrofoil but only 83kg of weight was able to get up and foiling below 6 knots on my 17m.

Downside of such large lightweight kites is not much being overpowered (which happens quickly, but in stable conditions is very manageable...), rather, it opens the doors to really kiting light winds, an opportunity that comes with the liability that, if kite is dropped (by mistake or because of a lull), it will never relaunch again...

Withy 60kg and 1200cm2 wing, my current larger kite is a conceptair Pulsion 15m.
Theire is still a "very little room" for a 18m and save a little bit of low-end in very very regular wind.

In very light you need a very light kite. With a standard weight LEI , i think around 13-14 m is the max really usable for 75 kg. (hence 17m seems ok for your weight). Then with a lighter kite , hence lighter wind possible, you need more power , big stability and a agile kite, in my experience.
