For exactly this reason I offered to Rainer to be 'a team' rider. Get a quiver of his kites and a bar for a decent discount. I proposed to, in exchange, offer people the Netherlands the opportunity to try the gear.
He was not interested. (Gear was well priced enough was his comment).
That is not the full story! I have tried to explain to you that we do not have any test kites or bars to ship to any person, magazine, or online tests. It´s simply not our idea to get that way into the market. If we would do that it would cost money for the shipment and to finance the gear that we ship. This would make the kite more expensive. I think there are many brands out there which spend a lot of money for events, advertising, teamriders, test gear, etc. We would like to do different and sell our gear instead less costly. As inventor of the Door I was long enough the owner of Spleene brand and long enough in the business to see that you have a lot of trouble with test gear. I am sure you cannot imagine how much effort you have to spend sometimes to get the gear back and how bad it is in shape. I am sure you would treat it very well and give us a nice review with perfect pictures etc, but it is simply not our idea to get into the market. I think a good product will become popular sooner or later by mouth to mouth and that´s the way I prefer definitely.

Still believe this kite is well designed. And it is clear the bar is clever.
Thanks

Hi Rainer,
Can you shed some light on this development? Was the center placed depower button ever prototyped?
This should work with your current rear trim system.
I am sorry but you have to ask the new Spleene guys now about this bar.
I am very happy with the Pintxo bar and I do not know what happens at Spleene actually.

They won’t sell in the states.
If you give us an address outside the US and/or Canada we can sell and ship to that address worldwide.
I am really sorry but the law in the US and/or Canada is so difficult for foreign brands that we cannot sell to the US and/or Canada.
Maybe for the big brands it´s possible to work with a well-known law firm in case something is not like it should be, but we cannot do that.
It´s really a pity as we have many inquiries from there.

Very true, in fact we got the same problem regarding many other business areas.
Which is a shame, but I understand those not willing to risk this

Do you actually have any bars in stock? I was on the list from early July but apparently was skipped over. I’ll be in Germany later this month.

Re bar I have a question regarding relaunch.I hardly ever have to relaunch kites but when I do I grip the end of line floats or on ozone bar ,the relaunch balls. How difficult will it be using such thin leader backlines ?

I am sorry, but we are actually sold out. We will get the next shipment with bars hopefully by end of October.

Please check that via E-Mail with our office. I am 100% sure if you have accepted our quotation by wiring the amount to our account you are still on the list. We serve in the order according to receipt of payments.

The leaderline at the barends at the Pintxo bar is 3mm thick. It´s a very soft line which you can grab quite well without hurting yourself. I know that many leaderlines at other bars on the market are using same thickness of line at that position. If you prefer these stopperballs at the leaderlines you can attach them within seconds yourself. I personally dislike them and I think it´s another item which could tangle with the other lines when swimming to relaunch the kite in waves, but it´s up to you...

New sizes Maverick 6m, 8m and 10m. New Pintxo bar widths 45cm and 60cm.
The prototypes of 6m, 8m and 10m Maverick kites are already in production. Since these are the intermediate sizes the R&D will not take too long, because I have the experience of the next to sizes. I think the new sizes should be available at the beginning of the new year.
In addition to that the Pintxo Bar will be soon available in 45cm and 60cm width. Many customers have asked us because they would like to fly their already existing small kites from other brands under 8m, or their very big kites over 14m with our Pintxo Bar. 45cm would be good for kites up to 9m and 60cm from about 14m, but this depends entirely on the kite.
Our 5m to 12m Maverick kites all work quite well with the 52cm Pintxo Bar available so far.
The new bars should also be available at the beginning of the next year.
Ciao
