Who designs Takoon's kites?

Postby Donniehall14 » Thu Sep 26, 2019 1:17 am

Does anyone know who designs Takoon's kites now. Do they still require a high-y bar?

Thanks. My old Takoon kites were supposed to be the high Y setup but both bars basically blew up and disintegrated. I still use my 8m Chrono on windy days for boosting. It seems to work fine with a low V. I'm kind if interested in the new Furia.

it looks that the new furia is completely new design, new shape made more for boosting and looping than for wave riding like the old one.
they recommend now the wook for wave riding
the new bar has low y as you can see on their website

I dont know...

Will get a new Furia when I wear one of my 4 Furias out (or damage to unrepairable)

BUT, I would say, that the classic Wook was also branded as, and good, for waveriding. Sitting deeper, drifting well.

Many of us love the Furia characteristicss though, for waveriding.
Extremely fast turning, and awesome depower/range :thumb:

Will be interesting

That’s the problem with loving a kite. You keep it forever, so they don’t sell many. And then change it to sell more so by the time you want a new one, it’s a different kite.

OK thanks for the info.So does anyone have the furia at 12m (as an oldest model) and can comment about its relaunch ability in light wind (14 knts)? Because I had switch nitro in 9 and 12 and the 9 is a very nice kite but the 12 at light wind was easy to hindenburgh and difficult to relaunch, most probably because it was heavy (5 struts and very well built).

Have anyone used the new released single strut from takoon called OneLight?
There isnt much on the web to search on but I am interested on a 12m for foiling in light winds and how it compares to other single struts.
