plummet,

I do 3d printing and I am using TPU filament that is flexible to print these. Anything printed in TPU that is 3+mm thick is ridiculously strong. I use it for my chicken loop release. Been fine for 1 year in the south florida heat. It can withstand heat like ABS. I print these and press fit a stainless steel nut into them for boards. I don't have a real pic of the inserts but I do of my chicken loop in the TPU see below. I am printing some next week and can send you a pic when I do.

One of most important thing about good insert is solid bottom so you cannot delaminate board bottom skin. You can argue to have just precise screw length - but just use different strap or strap will compress after time or just miscalculation. It WILL happen in some point. Been there many times.

The Ninjaflex Cheetah filament looks good for this sort of thing.
