Whose also unicycles and hydrofoils?
I'm just teaching myself to unicycle. Even though its completely different I see some similarities. Mainly relaxing and balancing and finding that critical balance point.
What's your experience?

Way different. I leaned to unicycle when I was 10. I'm pretty excited about advances in tech since I learned especially geared unicycles they seem fun. Never felt like there was any carry over skills tho

I learnt to unicycle in my early 20s then took it up again alongside learning to foil. Great challenge, improves balance for sure. Other than balance improvement there were no obvious transfer of skills. However I then took a break from Unicyclying for 6 months but foiled almost daily. When I picked my Unicycle up again my skills with it had somehow improved without using it.
Great fun , riding off road, downhill is an amazing challenge.

What is wrong with people? You got to put a electric motor on everything? Can't wait for my motorized letter opener and please don't google it I know it probably exists. Electric unicycles, onewheels, segways, electric skateboards, enough.

As a Segway, two Onewheels (and electric skateboard in the past for a month too) very happy owner I’d answer - yes.
I was admiring electric PPG by Skywalk, I’ll take electric foil once they’re more affordable and I’d go back into iron foundry I worked for a month when I was 16 to ultimately get a McFly’s hoverboard.
Tesla is a cool toy too.
All and any of that for when there’s no wind!
As a child who was doing my weekend chores by using a washing board and changing three buckets of water for rinsing because we couldn’t get a decent washing machine - yes again.
Growing up without having hot water in the house unless you warm it up on coal burning stove - yes yet again.
Using manual pump to pump endless buckets of water from 15ft below ground to water cottage house garden - yes, yes and yes
Let steampunk remain a form of art.
