There are different opinions. A lot of teamriders use the Neo with a low V which apparently makes it even more powerful. I personally don't like the character of the Neo with low V and fly it with the high V. Low V makes the kite backstall easier which you can compensate to a degree by clicking 2 or 3 clicks on the bar. I also have the feeling that the Neo pivots more in the turns with low V.

I have owned and flown North Neo 7 / 9 / 12 2017 Neo and now Duotone 7/9/12 2019 NEO. Great kite for foiling and riding in surf, drifts like a beast and good relaunch. I have always used stock Trust bars with 24m lines (high V) and other than gopro shots being a little farther away, I'm not sure where the hate is coming from. It's designed to be flown on that high V bar and it works fine as far as I can tell. I self land / self launch with zero issues.
