Gregor, I went upto Maskegan and had a great session on Monday. Rode my 7 drifter, back on the 633.
After demoing all those other foil set ups i trully the most comfortable on the 633 with the 483 stablizer (i think that is the one). When i tried yours it was a little too twitchy. And when i used my 633 with the 450 stablizer, it was ok, it went faster but was really less stable.
I did find riding down wave faces, i had to pressure the front foot a shit ton on the 633 with the 483 rear. Otherwise it felt like the board was going to pop out of the water.

On Sunday we decided to avoid the current on the lake and went to South Haven to have a great session behind jetty on 7m. Foiling down a smooth rolling wave is a bliss. As session #1.5 Casey tried to ride 3m Rally GT but wind dropped and it was a bit of a struggle. He rode it, we cooked the brats and Monday was a busy working day.
KOGL was great and I'm ready for another one (and to demo the e-foil)

One for the 2020 wish list: A modulable mast system! It would make traveling SO MUCH easier (and give you more options depending on water depth).
One 70cm "base" mast to attach the wing (fits most normal suitcases or bags) and then 10-20cm extension parts that would go in the boardmount, which could bring your mast up to the desired length.
I am not sure why no manufacturer has come up with something like this yet. It should not be too difficult from an engineering point of view..
I think this is great idea. A 2 part mast. A lower part 70cm with a direct mount plate for shallow water or beginner, then 20 or 30 cm extension base for more advanced , allowing compact traveling. All in carbon.
Moses, you can do this! It's not easy engineering, but with your skills it would be great solution

I went through a bit of learning phase for myself few weeks back.
720 wing with 450 stabilizer (326 sq.cm) shown decent lowend and fairly low take-off speed (surprisingly for me as I expected worse switching from 1005 sq.cm of 683s wing to 746 sq.cm of 720 wing, the rest of setup remained the same)
same 720 wing with 325 stabilizer (221 sq.cm) needed more speed to get on the plane, felt like it needed more speed to keep flying and felt more like 590.
Idea of improving lowend of 590 has been going through my head for quite a while and it seems that only 18% increase in surface (from 633 sq.cm of 590 wing to 746 sq.cm of 720 wing) is not as dramatic but changing stabilizer on 720 wing had instant effect.
Now a question which puzzles me is - if I mount 425 stabilizer (259 sq.cm) with 590 wing instead of 330 stabilizer (217 sq.cm) - would I feel increased lowend and get lower take-off speed?

I mounted a 483 with my 590 and I can attest that it improved the low speed take-off immensely. Not sure if that helps you.

Did you need to modify the kitesurf fuselage to make the 483 (surf) stabilizer fit?
Did it give any negatives compared with the standard 330 stabilizer ?

re 590: I have read somewhere another needed to make modifications for the 483 on kite fuse, although I did not. imo, 330 felt too skatey, 483 was more stable & slightly better low end. currently happy on 590 w/ 420

Yes. Here's what I did. With the 483 in hand, I used a #2 lead pencil and scribbled heavily onto the 483. I then set it into the placement on my older 2017 Ghost Whisperer kite fuselage, which left tiny lead pencil marks on the fuselage. I gently filed off these marks. I then repeated this process for maybe 30 minutes until the 483 was perfectly seated.... paying close attention to proper pitch angle. It's a very easy simple task, and your older 330 will still fit.
Negatives? I haven't noticed any, but for the purist it's possible that it will effect higher speed performance.
