Heard from friends, they had oil in Cumbuco 3 weeks ago. And also yesterday.
A beach south of Fortaleza has lots of oil I saw in a news report.

I came home from Cumbuco on Sunday and never saw or heard anything about any oil. Neither in the Jeri-area the week before.

I saw a few small pieces on the sea side of the bar at Barra Nova when I was there 23 Sep - 1 October. They were really tiny bits and not many of them. Sadly there was tonnes of plastic everywhere
