Airush News:

Introducing the IQR from Airush

Innovation that clicks.

Introducing the IQR, a completely redesigned quick release system that allows for a single-handed release, and reset. The all-new connection point sets the industry standard in safety, reliability, and usability. The durable injection-moulded TPU harness loop, and locking tube provide a comfortable attachment to your harness hook. In addition to the single line flag out system, the IQR features a low friction, enlarged spinning handle for easier line untwisting.

The Airush control bars have safety as the first priority. Your time on the water is as important to us as it is to you. We strive to make it safer for you and to make your equipment last longer.

Innovation is a key part of what we do as a brand, and when we undertake a project as vital as a safety aspect of what our riders and customer’s use – we commit to it fully.

Key Product Features

• Completely redesigned safety system
• Single-handed release and reset
• Selection of durable injection-moulded TPU harness loops to choose from
• Freestyle mode leash attachment when for unhooked riding
• Low friction spinning handle for line untwisting

Looks great and congrats to the team but I would not call it single hand reset. It’s a click reset and that’s great but you still need a second hand to hold the counter part to push it in. At least in real water environment.

Video does not show how to do a "single-handed reset".

Another "game changer". Is it coming the day we will eventually see something really new?

Not game-changing or really that innovative but seems like a very nice modern QR/chickenloop package.

The 'push away' release is not spring loaded, so it doesn't come back when released.. to reset you don't have to hold the 'push away' away, simply push the CL back in and it resets.

Nevertheless, you still have to keep hold of something to reset it... Tried mine for the first time this weekend, nice bar.

As much as the QR itself looks like a great design, the deal breaker for me is that it fits onto the depower lines with those two tightly spliced sleeved lines. I understand that's what Airush has been happily using on their bars for a few years, and didn't want to move away from that, but I personally like a single thicker depower line better. Or at least, something that I can source at a boat shop and replace easily at the back of the car. For me that's much more critical than using one hand to reload.
