GoPro Hero 8 about to release?

Just tried in-app horizon leveling with version 1.20 firmware - full rotation works amazingly with 4K/60

Does that work with a line mount? Do you have a sample video, that sounds amazing.

Unfortunately, no wind for now , so just did “in hands” test...

After applying leveling (absolutely no manual adjustments - just pushed one button) :

That is massively cropped in. So Output res is probable closer to 720p.

I just tried it with my Hero 8 on 4k 60fps and it DOES work. There is substantial cropping after the auto horizon tool is used, but it should work fine on a line mount.

I want to play around with it more. Not sure I want to shoot 4k 60 all the time as that only provides the Hypersmooth ON setting, not high or boost. (come on GoPro....) But at least I know which setting to use for the U-go line mount footage. Thanks Newold86!

I did do a test loop on my mtb yesterday to see how well the Hypersmooth Boost works for myself. On a punchy climb there was very little shake/bounce. It is very impressive!

Looks great, even heavily cropped, quality seems good. Could somebody test, if it also works with Goopro 7 black files. Where did you get the app for android?

@Newold 86: Could you provide us with some more tests or even better upload (maybe on www.file-upload.net) some rotated original clips so that we can test on our devices if it works properly?
Would be very useful before buying the cam.

It has horrizon leveling, but only in post via app and a lot of crop. I wonder, if the crop is as high as in reelsteady go, anyone tried this to eliminate kite rotation?
