Just reached Cumbuco shore this morning. Videos and photos all over instagram.
Yesterday I did a downwinder - upwind from kitecabana to cauipe lagoon and back on foil and didnt see anything. Hope I am oil free.
Really sad. Something should be done imediately.

Yes, just saw this, which is between Cumbuco and Cauipe lagoon...not sure if it hit Cumbuco main village?

Hope not. But inevitable it’s all connected.
Hard to feel safe after this.
To have an idea of distance the downwinder to Cauipe is just around 10km.
That’s a shame but I will avoid this area for some time. Too bad the whole coast is at risk of contamination. Not to mention the sea food that local fishermen depend on.
