advice on Crazyfly F Lite carbon 2020

Postby Foil » Fri Nov 08, 2019 2:45 pm

This board has been out now for a while, first out in 2018/19 season, buts its the newer 2020 version I am thing of as a second foilboard for holidays being airline proof and rock proof, and more importantly hard landings from untidy boosting proof.
but will it work with a moses 633/683 and 790 wings, all of which work from the same mast placement, which on a 2019 Groove Skate board is right up against the rear of the mast tracks,
I use both footstraps all the time.
I am looking at the 130 version of the F Lite carbon.
is anybody out there using the 633 moses wing on the crazyfly? with straps.
:thumb:
ps, the crazyfly has bolt holes not tracks, 3 position options.

I'm using the 2018/2019 F-lite model (115 version) with Moses mast/strut and 550 I think. It fits but it skips one set of holes: I think if I'm using the front set of holes on the forward position, then the back is in the centre. It could be the other way round (front, centre corresponding with back forward). I can find out if you want

Really? :o
Wow! thanks for the heads up. :thumb:
glad I asked.
i am guessing they broke when being jumped and landed hard, nothing else could stress it so much unless it went hard into a sand bar, which is maybe the same sort of stress\impact as landing hard from good height
I used to own a underground speed board which was awesome with great looking build detail and finish.

I got the FLite 115 from 2019 and use it with the 633. Really like it. Nice stiff, and goes very well with the big wing. It also goes well with the 590. Just just have to move the mast a bit longer in the front. I only use it strapless and onsider to got for the small 99 cm instead. Maybe 130cm is too big - for me it would be - and you will soon regret not going for the 115.

I think there were some issues with broken boards in 2017/18. When I first got the Flite I noticed there was a 800 grams difference on board compared to what the website said.. I wrote the CF and asked about it, and they confirmed that had changed the construction to make it stronger, and there was some issue with broken boards. So I believe this is history now. CF also claims they got 3 years full warrenty, which I guess must state they stand for a good quality in their products..

I used the 633 wing with the 71 cm mast on a Chill 130cm and it works perfectly. Since the Fuse of the 633 is much longer make sure you put the Foil at the very back of the board and put the straps at the very front settings. I generaly ride the 590 wing and it is perfectly balanced on the middle settings (foil and straps as well) but the 633 is requires the above settings I wrote. The 633 wing has so much lift that probably board size does not matter too much, you can go with the 115 or the 130.

So it sounds like the boards from early on broke maybe in the middle and not ripping the mast fixings out?? , hoping to see one in use at flag beach whilst I am here.
