Just used four M6 thumb screws on a mast plate to connect to the board. I found it really easy and convenient to assemble and disassemble, dismissing the big screw driver I used to keep on my bag.
I think there is minimal impact on riding the board flat and none after rise on water.
It would also help in a downwinder where you land far from launching site and you dont want to ride back upwind.
The best thing was that cost me almost nothing buying on line.
Have anyone used it? Any possible drawbacks?

I think wing nuts would give you better leverage

It doesn't look stainless steel.
The plastic knob could come off.
It's one more thing for lines to catch on. It's a slim chance but if you're struggling to get your foil untangled from the lines and there's a sticky out bit at the top that would be a pain.
It looks ugly and inelegant (Sorry. You asked)
It would be easier to carry a stainless steel wrench on a string around your neck or in a pouch.

I hate people suggesting new ideas that ultimately result in a refinement in our sport.
Just keep doing it the old way as less negative comments.
But the wing nut is possibly a step forward.

Too much drag.
Plenty of people can't handle a smudge of sunscreen on their foil or a blade of sea grass. Four plastic knobs creates more problem than is solves for anyone riding in such a way that the board has contact with the water. Can be the people who are learning transitions and what not, or the people riding in steep swell or landing airs. The pitching moment on touch down in aggressive riding is tough enough.
People sanding their foil and filling pin holes is one end of the spectrum, This and ideas like the remora foil mount are the other. I'm all for tool less assembly ideas, but four of those sticking out of the bottom of my board is a non starter.
I like LEI kites for the character of their flight, and hence put up with a pump. I also prefer to foil most days so I put up with an allan key. It's not that much hardship.

I have used wing nuts. Drag on touchdowns was noticeable but not a problem. The board bottom itself creates more drag. You feel a blade of grass on the foil much much more.
Now I’m using a foil and board with a box. Its much more elegant and I prefer it especially with only one screw. I can’t feel the streamlined connection makes a drag difference in touchdowns compared to the leading edge of a plate.
Might be more of an issue if the wing needs 12 knots water speed to fly.

Only thing I would think of is make sure it is stainless and it's another surface for a line to potentially hang on if your foil goes through your lines. i think the additional safety risk (though minimal) offsets the benefit (also minimal to me). I'm probably biased because my groove board with moses 101 mast fits nicely in the back of my VW atlas, so I never touch those screws anyway.

I'd like a hand removable connection but I don't think you could get enough torque with the knobs on bigger wings. I've been wondering why no one has tried some M8/M6 quick release levers and t-nuts?
