Tomlutz,
Stumbled across the worn carbon bar, attached a photo in case you were interested in the orientation of the wear. Perhaps you would prefer the replaceable fair lead to take the most wear.. Of course orientation of wear may be style related.......
The notch at the bottom of the hole is all wear!
Regards Herman

Looks awesome Tomlutz!
Just ordered the parts. I might try glue a low friction ring into the center instead.
How did you glue the metal rods at the bar ends that the rope slides around?
Cheers,
Brett

I didn't glue them. I just cut them to exactly the outer diameter of the tube, and slipped them through the holes previously drilled. They are kept in place simply by the handle bar horns that are tightened around the tube at that spot.

Dear Herman,
thanks. Impressive. Yes, will try to wrap around a piece of metal (aluminium?). Also I think I do not use my kites as much as you do. I only kite up to 40/50 days per year. And I have a bar for each of my foil kites, so each kite will only be used up to roughly 15 times a year.
Cheers - Tom

Dear All,
I was some days ill at home and had plenty of time to build a new bar. I don't have any sophisticated tools, no 3D printer and the like. So as simple as possible, and I used bike spare parts ordered from Aliexpress for roughly 30 USD.
The adjuster (for the back lines) is placed in the tube by a system if lines and knots, and for this I designed to have as much space as possible inside the tube.
I would have bought the ingenious Pintxo Bar from Rainer Kauper, but he doesn't sell it yet in 60 cm.
There some details I still have to optimise, but I will test it on water as soon as I have recovered. At first only for foiling, later maybe for TT as well. I chose a wichard for simplicity (both release and swivel functionalities in one), but you could also have a separate safety leash with the lines going a bit different.
The adjuster works great (I hardly use it).
I hope not to have an error in thinking, but please advise if there is an issue.
Kind regards
Tom
Hi Tomlutz, your idea is great!
I'm wondering if you or anyone else who's reading has ever tried a bar with offset main line. Are 10mm offset making that big difference? I'm thinking to build a bar with this system so would love to have some feedback before starting.
Any other options for the side "horns"?

Correct. I Made something like that years ago as a test.. planning to put it in the bar. I like the relatively clean version of the TS
