I dont know if it is arranged? I hope so.
I was there 2017, thinking about going again. the entrance fee was around 60 euro 2017, and then the entry fee last year was around 550 euro.
So im thinking twice before going, I mean I could go there and go kiting for a week with friends for 500 euro. instead of just that race, but then again its a great feeling to stand there at the starting line with 5-600 kites in the air.
Dont you think the whole wibe is changing when the entry fee is that high? The neewbies create that nice wibe together with the very experienced riders i think, and I think that the type of people joining with that high fee will change alot, but who knows?
How was last year? anything great coming with that extra expensive fee?

It is not cheap, but considering the general price level in Norway I don´t think it is too bad.

In 2019, they combined the hotel accommodations with the entry fee. So overall it was probably not more expensive, depending on where you stayed. I preferred the Haugastol hotel from 2018 over the Ustadalen, mostly because it was closer to the event site.
I think it was because they bundled the hotel with the entry fee that the turnout wasn't as big last year.

The food was really good at the hotel. But otherwise it was about the same as previous years. The food was really good at Haugastol in 2018, too. They just wanted to use Ustedalen hotel because they could have everyone together at the same time in the same place, to make organizing the event easier.
I finished 2 laps in 2018, and really close to 4 laps in 2019. I want to keep going to Ragnarok till I finish the race, at least.
