I managed to lose my board just a few days before leaving for my kitesurfing trip to Cumbuco, Brazil
I am trying to decide if i should try to find a used twintip with straps in London quickly or rather do it in Cumbuco.
Anyone knows how is the used gear selection and price in Cumbuco ?

My guess is that you should be able to find something in Cumbuco. Toby would know, but the peak season might be over? If so shops should have some interest in selling out "old" gear.
I only dropped by two shops when I was there. Decent selection of equipment. Not sure if they had any boards big enough for me (6ft6 and 100kg+), but if you are after more normal sizes I can't see you not being able to find something.

Prices are pretty high...but you could buy and sell again.
Which size are you looking at ?

True. I even got offers for my equipment because apparently equipment is cheaper in Europe.
That said it isn't always the case. I looked at some harnesses that were slightly cheaper than what I have found the same equipment for in Europe.

I'm 90kg, 184cm, beginner (can confidently start, ride and keep upwind if conditions are good). Have 7/9/12 quiver.
So I'm thinking something in 140-145 x 42cm range (advice is always welcome

I'm not familiar with Cumbuco, but most kite destinations have a shop that would rent you a board for a week or two. You could try out a new board without having to pay the airlines for the baggage. Then buy something at your leisure when you return home.

I didn't look in Cumbuco, but I often find it is a bit difficult to find boards that are not light wind bigger than 140. Selection is then often not great.
If you can find a good deal in London I would take it. If not you'll find something in Cumbuco - good or bad.

I was in Cumbuco a month ago. You can rent boards at Kite Cabana. The rate for a surfboard was 60 Reals/day, which is maybe 11 pounds. A twintip might be slightly cheaper.
