Hi,
I am trying to decide which foil to buy for my next foil. I have been on the Cabrinha for a couple months and I feel its time to step it up. I am basically trying to decide between the Moses 590 and Moses 633 but I'd like to know how they compare in ease, speed, beginner friendliness and stability etc to all of the above listed foils. Does anyone know which would be better for a beginner and how they compare to each other and the other brands? Thanks!

633 hands down better to learn flying foot switches etc. It's a great wing.

Possibly best option but never tried 633 as I went to 683 and love it.

It depends on your weight. For a light person 590 would be pretty awesome. For 190 lbs and up a surf wing like 633 (or 679) would rock.
590 would have higher “average high” cruising speed than 633 but also it will need more speed to get on plane and not as low of lowend speed. 590 mounts on 647 fuselage and 633 goes onto 710 - so your options for smaller/larger wings, in means of further upgrades, will be defined by fuselage you’re commiting to.
But again, if you’re 160 lbs - get 590. If you’re 200 lbs - get 633 or rather 679.

I'm 75 kg. Bought the 550, then 590, then 633.
I'll sell my 590/330 + 550/325 and 2016 fuselage at good price. Pm me.
I was up to 150 hrs foiling by the time I bought 633.
Does than answer your question?

So ... the 679.... is this meant to be maybe a cross between the 633 and 683S?... I know the 683S has been discontinued, but even so, so many wings moses!?!?!!

The 679 sure looks like the 683S.... Without knowing for sure, I'd say yes. I now ride the 683S after 1.5 years on the 633. Both are terrific wings.
^^^^
Grigor brings up an excellent point regarding weight. I have good friend who weighs about 130 lbs. She could not hold down the 633. Tried everything: shims etc. Simply too much lift for her size. I am 180 and the 633/683S feel perfect.

679 will probably be unrecognizable from 683s riding-wise, maybe a tad better in means of shedding seaweed. 683s is 20% smaller area than 633 and 20% thinner which improves "average high" cruising speed. At my 200+ lbs I switched my surf fuselage setup from 633 to 683s this year and enjoyed it royally (and I really enjoyed 633 before that too). Some (and I must note) very respectable riders say the top end of 683s is not much higher than 633 while you're losing couple of knots on lowend but for me it was higher cruising speed - less need to "push" the wing to go faster, it just flies faster.

I jury-rigged my older Ghost Whisperer fuselage (with light filing) to pair a 483 Moses stabilizer with a 590 Moses. This gave me the nice cruizing speed of the 590, and added a forgiving life for foot-switches. I is incredible just how much changes when you change a stabilizer. Can't wait to try my 450 Moses stabilizer on this

Yes, same I felt switching between 450 and 325 stabilizers riding 720 wing.
My plan is to test 590/330 vs 590/425 in a month. I will report on feedback. I hope extra 20% of stabilizer area will add to pitch stability and lightwindability
