Had a great time working with "Our Kite Life" on a new episode about Kiter Progression Checks.

Nope, I'm regressing, then I have to progress back and regress again. I am not getting the time on the water that I used to. Its that simple. Interestingly it's kinder fun to relearn stuff you have regressed back with.

As far as the video is concerned. The stuff on there is fairly captain obvious. I do suggest though once you learn how to fly the kite while crashing you can get away without crashing the kite and still be able to progress.

yes, I got this feeling too.. I really doubt that people who want to progress on this level are really that clueless that they need this video.
Also, I see a lot of people that have no intention to progress and are happy with their current level.
This is true of many sports actually. If you do cycling, running or simply go to gym, then after 2-5 years you basically reach the plateau in terms of what you can reach with your physiques, dedication and time allowance. Yet most people continue those activities knowing that they are unlikely to progress any further.

Still a big fan if both channels.. just this video was sort of "meh" for me..

A lot of use of the word “disadvantaged”. Quite like some of their videos, but not this one. The idea that you have to be continually progressing to enjoy the sport is just rubbish. I’ve had more fun this year specifically “not” worrying about what I can’t do and just enjoying the small window of opportunity to get out on the water with friends.

Each to their own I guess.

I hear ya. I'm a terrain rider and not a trickster. So progression for me occurs when the environment is pushing my limits. A balmy 20 knots and 1.0m swell with be a cruisy ride.
