Within only 3 months my NTT broke at the same place.
At the kite center I saw an other one with exactly the same problem.
It seems to be a breaking point due to bad design, wanted or out of incompetence.
Duotone seems to make a buisiness with the replacement straps.

I’ve used them for years and never had that issue. Maybe extremes of temperature might make them perish? My guess is that failure rate is pretty low as they are very common.

The strap construction changed when the change from velcro to popper adjustment was made, so my guess is that a stiffer but more brittle material was used in the later straps. I have certainly found the later 'popper' straps to be a bit more supportive/rigid than my velcro adjustable straps.

Yes ,definitely more supportive than the velcro models but not much use when they break so early. I put my foot into the 2020 models today and I did not like them as much as the 2018-19 models..The new heel high ridge did feel good but the toe bump on the front thats now a smooth black rubber is supper slippy with wet feet and no grip could be felt....I would sooner the 2018 front that has the grippy lines all way through...Wonder is there another brand of strap pad that would feel as good on the foot and would mount to the Duotone rail system. Think thats the way forward now.

Wow I love the 2020 entity over the 2019. But I haven't used them with neoprene boots yet only bare feet and it was really good after getting used to them. Try the 2020 naish apex if you have big feet. I have a pair of 2019 naish apex and they did fit on my teamseries and jaime but with shoe size 45 they are too small. I am looking for a 2020 apex pair myself but am waiting for them to go on sale or snipe one second hand. Felt really locked in.

I already read this topic last year and hoped it wouldn't happen to me, but yesterday it happened anyway and also with 2 (!!!) friends last week, all 2019 models.
I contact my dealer and they will send me a new one today so perfect service.
The shop advised me to inspect the other side as well and yes, it is also half torn, what a mess. Now does anyone know if this has been solved with the 2020 or 21 models?

2019 had the same problem as previous ones. I know at least 3 guys, with the same issue. Idk how much truth it is, but I heard 2021 ones are fixed finally.
