Hi.
Talk with friends and we try to calculate height* weight index.
My stats:
167kg, max jump 14.4 m

167"14.4= 2404.8 KgM

What you think?
Try to calculate gohighwithMike index, if he weigth under 70.5 kg, I'm beat him :)

That's a high energy jump!
A guy your size jumping that high should stay downwind of wind farms.
Your jumps are enough to power a village.

:o That is unbelievable. You certainly stress equipment to the limits, IDK if anything of it is designed for that high weight. 19m Speed is not a big kite for you :D

Have you had a lot of failures with ... everything?

Failures? Only pulley lines wear out quickly.

Last 10 years - only flysurfer, speed 2-3-4-5, Soul and now Sonic.
Speed4 21&15 fly maybe 5 years.

Some of the guys back home think being heavier is an advantage, as more power can be held onto for better "spring" off the water. Maybe on flat water, where you can time the pop perfectly...

Very good then :thumb: You have proved FS kites and bar are strong. It is reasonable pulley lines wear faster than normally because you have so much more load in them.

To me it doesnt feel like weight would be that big of an influence (could be wrong). With more weight you just rig bigger and you can hold more energy, in the end I think most of it comes to ramps/technique/kite/board

In energy (kinetic to potential) the mass cancels out on equation so it is all about riding speed. But on wing loading the mass is there, causing sink rate to increase. And kite jump is mostly pivoting your speed against a wing's pivot point.

This example picture of wing loading is from glider, but sure same "polar movement towards lower right as wing loading increases" is also present in kite's speed range. Part of the equation is that heavier can use larger kite, but also larger kite is not that agile on jump. And maybe on 15m foilkite size both lighter and heavier use the same kite. That is why I think OP has a point on [kg]*[m] unit for comparing. Different question is that if mass is to be directly multiplied or not for fairness because double the mass != double the sink rate.
