Most small kites suitable for 30 plus knots are bloody fast anyway though. Too fast like flies on strings. The art of a good small kite is actually slowing it down not speeding it up?

It is possible especially on hydrofoil to be able to out run the kite even up to 20-25knots on waves. In lighter wind like 5knots you can even create opposite wind and fly the kite upwind of you. Lighter kites take longer to fall from the air, so will hang with slack lines allowing you to ride waves with ZERO pull from the kite, as in real surfing. Balanced kites don't hindenburg. Getting the weight off the LE will balance the kite better. This offers huge benefits to LEI kites, a strutless with it will be quite amazing. I am surprised that single and no strut kites didn't get this first up.

With you on that, brother ! Can't wait for an Aluula BRM Cloud. Maybe like a helium balloon, won't come down unless you drag it down.

My Ozone Enduro 6m in 30k+ isn't too fast, it's a joy to fly. Unsurprisingly I just can not fly it the same way I do my 12m Enduro.

Nice to see a brand finally innovating in the materials market space beyond the 'usual suspect' sail cloth suppliers.

There's a huge amount to overcome in fitting a new materials tech into existing production pipelines. If you can make it work it'll be worth every penny.

Good luck with it guys.

as for 2300euros definitely looks bad, also not my taste, design for 800euro kite.
But ocean Rodeo always were not supreme in desing colors and graphics.
I totally disagree!! I think these kites look way better than the "black" kites that were on OR's website. And I think OR has made some of the best looking kites out there, (with the exception of the 2016 gen 4 Flite). The Pridogy has been fantastic looking for years!!

He saying weight comparissions a little not right, now 10m usual foiling kites weights are much less than 3.4 kg.
Ozone alpha 10m 2.2kg, airrush ultra 10m 2.3 kg, so this OR Roam with 1.8 kg is not super magic in weight.
2,3 to 1,8 is 20% less and it's 3 struts vs single. It's actually super magic imo!

I guess it is impossible to argue about taste. One man's meat is another man's poison

That is just a false comparison. The OR Roam is a 3 strut kite and - compared to kite of its class - it is by far the lightest. Afaik the next one in this class is the Kauper XT with 2.4 Kg for the 10m. Do it right and compare it to a (hypothetical) one strut Aluula Kite. It would probably weigh about half of the Ozone alpha.
