what is the best 4/3 wetsuit on the market ?

Postby Frankieboy » Sat Feb 01, 2020 11:19 pm

Hi guys,

I am looking for a warm and confortable wetsuit in 4/3 for let say 9-10° not colder.
What brand/model would you guys recommand so I can make a shortlist I would try before buying?

n°1 for me is the confort (flexibility). I use it a lot so price doesn't matter

tx

I don't think there is a best be it all wetsuit. I recommend trying some on in the shop. I ended up getting a completely different one than I initially set out to get just because it fit nicely.

Ended up getting the C-skins rewired wetsuit. Very happy with it and been riding it for 2-3 years now. Price was very good at the time cause it was not a well known brand. However they raised prices last time I checked.

O'Neil was very flexible but I prefered the flashbomb from Rip, only tried them in 5/3 or 5/4. Bought a mystic majestic in 3/2 and regret not going for another flashbomb (or similar from rip curl) there. I would say stay clear from Ion, had some drama with my shorty/neo top already.

if you are more after ultimate stretch than ultimate warmth, definitely check the E-Bomb zipless. same price level as the psycho

Flashbomb 100%, I had a 4/3 in E4 neoprene and it was both durable and warm. I changed a couple of seasons later to an O'neill mutant legend 4.5/3.5 and that is reduclously light but I miss the flash lining.

The TB3x (the stripey stuff on the arms) baubles up after 3 months kiting so I don't recommend it. If you get an O'Neill get a suit with 100% plain TB3.

www.srface.com - check this one

Great wetsuits will all the options. You can even try the wetsuit for 30 days and send it back if you don't like it.
Much cheaper than all the common brands, with same or better specs.

Any higher-end zipless suit will do, try a few and take the one that fits the best.
Have had no problems with my mystic majestic, but you need a certain level of flexibility to get into zipless suits!
