Producing an all round kite with great boosting characteristics might be a pretty good business move. If Kevin wins the KOTA and the kite seems to have great jumping performance I am sure there will be some demand for it.
Could equally go badly if he's out early with a poor heat or just failing to match the heights from prev years wouldn't look great. Obviously wind is a factor with that one. From what i can see the only usp is Langaree, everything else will be the same as every other brand. If they do well it would suggest kiters are influenced by who rides what brand, time will tell i guess.

It does. But hey, Polaroid crowd brought the instant photography back to life. There’ll be someone else to host ramps, somebody more about sport and less about revenue from it.
After all the enthusiasts and great riders are still out there, it’s just goes from professional back to, well more enthusiast-driven domain. It wasn't all about $12K prizes, was it?
For Kevin - delta shaped kites are in demand, majority of riders can rock on them well, there’s space for better commercial bar and many more things to sell to majority of riders and no loyalty can compete with proper engineering along with support, proper pricing and timely matching market demand.

Whats the policy on brands posting here and them paying you toby?
I can't say this new brand or kite has me in anyway interested. Aluula based kites seem interesting and the Peak 4.

it is simple: if a brands uses my site to promote their products, they need to advertise.
Only fair towards the brands who support kiteforum...otherwise there is no more kiteforum!

I think releasing an allround kite that has great boosting characteristics is a good move from a business perspective. Not sure how entirely unbiased this review is, but I would imagine they will sell a few units simply because people want to ride something different from other people and it is linked to one of the top riders. It isnt going to be easy to take market share from the established manufacturer with their distribution networks and the selling of end of season kites at cost unless they are bringing something unique to the table (like the BRM Cloud).
