Congratulations to Jessy! Seems as North rules, two first places for North riders and equipment, Duotone 3rd.

And North competed against North in the Semi-Final... so just Marc or Nick were able to advance. Great stream today. Had much fun watching it.

Nooooooo. Everyone that buys the orbit will be able to do massive megaloops and huge dangle-passes.

Of course its riders first abilities, but still without normal equipment difficult to win or go to finals.

Absolutely the riders skill is the main point. Everyone was awesome. But the stuff is still important to get the most out of these conditions. Stability, windrange, looping ability, Hangtime, boost, etc. you need the best out of all worlds.

It was great to watch today, brilliant coverage by Red Bull. I love looking at Jesse's skills and I am happy for his win.
What I don't get though is how unhooked handlepasses can score most of the heighest scores of the day (with scores > 8.00). The height is considerably lower than the big hooked jumps. And If Kota rules say that 70% of the score is height (and height alone), it doesn't add up how danglepasses at 12 meter score higher than megaloop boardoffs at 20 meter.
But hey, was a great show anyways!! I enjoyed.

What is more important the riders or the equipment? ...
Neither, winning is and North just put Duotone to shame by winning against them after 1 year of starting a new brand... Its quite amazing and I bet Nick is gonna get a huge pat on the back from North for building the team that he has. Very impressive.. My prediction is Duotone will be an unknown brand in under 5 years... not that i have anything against or interest in either company, but I do think Duotone played a losing hand. The name alone does them no favors.

Loads of bs, you're looking at big air kiteboarding only. All freestyle world champions this year for men/women, whether it's freestyle or strapless freestyle have been duotone riders.
Edit: well except womens strapless, since carla rides for ocean rodeo. mika won last event tho and would probably win overall if she does all stops.

I am sure it will push North.
Not really hurt Duotone.
Question is now: what about Reedin?
Would you rather buy a North or a Reedin now?
