I have seen a fingerless glove going to elbow made of Kevlar used is plastic moulding industry to protect from burns when working on machinery that could spit out molten plastic.
So it should be possible to get a sock made of Kevlar that could go over or under a wettie.
Or go Canard and problem solved
Hydrofoil dedicated wetsuits with cut protection?
