Seen two of them today out in the wild here in La Ventana. Was a 9m and a 11m. Tried to stay with them to see the details but I was on a Soul 6m with a Moses 633 and they were on race foils. The guy on the 9m was boosting very nicely. What I could tell.
They're VERY good looking kites. Great bright colors. Bottom layer styled like the Race and VMG.
4 level of bridles but it appears to be less complex than the Sonic2. Less connections at the cells.
Looks like a higher cell count. Much smoother profile.
VERY good glide, I was impressed.
Also saw an unmarked what appeared like a Soul 9m but I don't think it was a normal one, perhaps a tester for the next generation. He was on a twin tip and boosting much higher than expected with very long glides.
Tomorrow I'm going to try to run down one of the riders while they're still on the beach to beg for a demo.

I heard the same thing, Sonic 3 coming out in the next few weeks. Aimed somewhere between the Soul and the Sonic Race/VMG. Will be interesting to see the details, but there are some pictures of it already on the internet

Seems it's taking the heritage of the Speeds but it's a little bit more racey. Curious to unterstand the details. I think that we are going to find a lot the Soul development in the new Sonic: better water relaunch, more stiffness and stability and a real foil kite dna that the Soul does not have interely since it behaves more like a pump.

Heard the same here in Italy. Sounds good. Anyway for a Sonic I think the Infinity bar is more suited. It's cheaper but you get the lines untwisting. The force is more robust and freestyle oriented I think.

Heard official word, Germany is shipping them now. Looks like I’ll be the first in the states to get one. Hopefully I’ll be putting out a video or two on it. All I’m hoping for is more airtight and better drift.

Will be looking forward the review.
I ll need a replacement for my Sonic Race Kites, so i d like the sonic 3 to be more airtight, but also more stable structurally so it can loop without bending at the tips and handle the gusts much better.

From what I saw on the water yesterday it’s a much more solid wing. The rider was doing some big jumps on a hf and there wasn’t any flexing. I’m curious if this is the same fabric as the Soul or something new. Top color is much more vibrant than the Soul. Could be a new coating. It was interesting that the butthole protruded a little. At first I thought it was open. I’m slightly nervous since my riding style has now changed to wave hydrofoiling but I absolutely loved my Sonic 2 11m so I’m making the jump. Wish I still had it though for a side by side comparison. Hopefully I can find one to borrow.
I’ll definitely let you know on the looping since I constantly like to loop my kites.
