Interesting board.

Here is a much more thorough two-part review by Noel Salas:

In Germany the kite version is available... now or soon, dunno.

Have to ask Andreas.
I´m thinking about replacing my beloved Vader HE 5.1 by a Hydroshort HE 5.4.

They are too big. Unless you live in place with real waves = 10% of the kiting world

23l is pretty low volume.. not exactly a whole load.

The sizing looks perfect to me. I am eyeing the 5'6"

Aw, once again the thickness is quite a lot :( It would be so much nicer to have 1,5-1,8” thickness for kiting, but I guess they just duplicate the board design from the surf version.

once again, you don't need volume that much in kiting. When in speed (kiting), it's only negative. Better water feel and more flex with thinner boards.
