Kind of like a Deadman's turn on land with a 3-wheel buggie ? Never seen it on water, maybe riding a foil ??

Wait a minute, have faint recollections of a foiler + big foil kite doing a Deadans' on a nearly calm lake, maybe in Italy, Lake Como ? ?? For real or was I dreaming ?
Doing Deadman's turn on foil & water has been discussed a couple of times at KF, and those topics also have videos. I think Horst Sergio did it first on youtube video so check his youtube channel.

Today/yesterday on IG was Olly Bridge doing deadman's - this time filmed with 360 camera.. Not so spectalucar compared to filmed outside because it is not so easy to say what is happening.

Anybody got already the chance and balls to kiteloop a 12m2 aluula kite in proper wind ???
That could really be a game changer, since the first tests say they climb and turn quicker.

Right now, more than 9-10 m2 kites don´t make sense for kiteloops, because bigger sizes don´t catch you reliable.

Hope this might change now! Happy to hear any experience!

Are there any 12m Aluula roams demo kites in existence, It is my understanding that the demo kites are 10 m. I have watched up close a young fellow kite looping at the top of his jump the 10 m aluula roam in gusty 25-35 wind and he looked very much in control.

Ocean Rodeo only planned to make two Aluula demos - 10m Roam and 14.5 Flite. So far, dealers have only received the 10m Roam. The full range arrives in late May.

COVID-19 / corona-virus may cause a delay, hopefully not too long.

What would you estimate the low end wind range to be for these kites?

Saw the 14.5 on the water yesterday. It turns very, very fast. The wind was light (10-15 knots) and on the beach the guy had no problem at all keeping the kite in the air. On the water, it was looking like he was having a great time, especially looked awesome on the way down after a jump, since steering the kite in was really much more rapid than your usual big LEI.

Wind range did not look like anything special. When the wind started picking up (15-20 knots), the guy got really powered and he was flying downwind, looked like he had trouble keeping his edge.

Marc Blanc, 2016 On YouTube doing it before everyone else, he was foiling at a level in 2011 that most stil can’t now

His 360 was on an old Fone tube kite and tiny wings.
