Guys,
There some many positive post about Peak4 that I decided to buy 8m².
I know that this kind of kite are better riding a wave foil but for now I only have a freeride H5 . Does anyone have any experience with this kind of front wing?
Would be great to read your impression of 8m after use.

I have used my 8m a lot, on 8-15 knot days. It gets heavy on the bar or flappy if you get above 15 knots. It's not great for power on waterstarts, and takes multiple loops in sub 10 knots, but it's good once you're up riding. Fine if you stay foiling, and aren't falling in much. Doesn't turn as nicely as a small peak, but it's ok, turns similar to an 8m drifter. Much easier to collapse and front stall in a heap than the smaller peaks, eg. if you let the bar right out when you crash. It's way more playful than my 8m soul. Nice amount more power than the 5m once you're up and riding, so you feel well powered in 10 knots.

The 5m peak is better choice if you're trying out your first peak 4. The 8m is a good light wind addition.

A99,
As soon as I ride I intend to do a review comparing Peak4 8m² vs Lei 12m².
My goals are freeride without get worries about let the kite drops when you missed a gibe (this happens to me often), increase the distance that I foil parallel to the beach ( most of the wind here are on shore/sideshore), start to try little waves.
I live in a city famous for sharks attack(25 death by now), of course that I don't ride in this beach but the other beach that I go is only 20km away, so for me floot on deep water is a nightmare.
I have never ridden any foil kite let's see how will be, if this 8m² is 1% better than my LEI I will buy a Peak4 5m².
I just decide to buyed the 8m² instead 5m² because in the next 3 months the wind will be light.

Hi LeoLeal.

Your 8m Peak4 will be fine with your H5. It's just that a surf foil can be more fun for surfing with the Peak4 and you can often use a smaller Peak4 kite.
I've used my Peak4 with a relatively small surface area Moses 637 Race wing and it went well.

Let us know how it goes for you, have fun, Dave

Another reason against too big Peak its lack of REAL drift. Its not drift with too big kite - its downwind pull rest pull from kites drag. Smaller the kite smaller this rest pull to the point that is virtually nonexistent
Peak 13M arriving today. Planing on a low wind test for Sunday. Forecast is around 8knots. Setting up Peak 8m, 11m, and 13m along with an Ozone Hyper flex 12M. Have at least 4 riders with weights from 160 lbs to 245.

Tomtom, I know you are not a big fan of the large Peaks. Yet others like myself are very happy. Could it be weight? I am 220 lbs. I own a 5M, 8M, and an 11M. I agree with you on one thing, the smaller the Peak the better I like them, and the 5M has been my go to kite this windy season here in Florida. If it above 15knots, then I am on it.

What we don't agree on is that the 8m has enough SUSTAINED pull to get me up and going where as the 11M will in around 8 knots.

The test riders are all experienced riders with 2 of them being Peak riders and 2 of them FS Soul riders.

Curious to see how this plays out.

Besides the kite choice an appropriate wing for wave foiling is still important. You can get H2, H4 fairly cheap, and later wing like i76 are pretty good too

Grigorib,
I'm planning to get a Apollo 60 ( small version of Moses 633) but not now as I have H3 and H5 a wanna try those before put them away.

I will test my Peak4 8m² this Saturday forecast 9 to 13 knots.

Would be happy to...

if everyone brings their foil, their should be an Armstrong(will find out wing size), a lift, a SS with the huge Infinity 99 wing, possibly a Delta stabless.

I know right lbs... that's English money right? ;)

Only Liberia, Myanmar and the USA still use pounds as a measure of weight. North Korea also used the pound until recently
