Best Wing is not out there yet.
I have only snow winged with LEI and KiteWing (solid frame). The weight difference is very noticeable when the wind drops and the KiteWing is more sensitive to gusts and wing tip catches. I have not tried the Duotone single boom.
The real game changer may be making a Wing out of Aluula. Let's get on it OR but what will the cost be?
Yeh agree peter. The duotone one doesn’t hang in the nuetral position well enough. Hope they fix this (as I’m sure they will) because the boom is better than the handle...

Agreed, but with the which is the best question, the only result is a list of most brands on the market depending on personal preferences. Totally random and un-objectif.
With the arrival of bigger wings on the market (6m, 7m?) the question is, do you have to be 1.9m tall to avoid the wingtips touching the water or can smaller riders use them too?

Since it is possible to use a 5m Wing on a kite buggy where the bum is barely 10cm off the ground, then yes, I'm 100% certain that smaller riders can use big wings too! If they're small and light, they probably don't need them though.
There are diminishing returns.
i believe the umbrella is still the undisputed gold standard in wing thingies™.
Definitely more perspective in such foil umbrella than foil wing: they must develop it for real reinforcement plus possibility to change amplitude or circle in few possition. Plus you can close it as real umbrella what is super in some conditions. Plus it will be cheaper and less massive. Plus you can do all transparent and from carbon hard part.

Never tried a wing but heard that wingtips touching the water often resulted in crashes?
Just hope there will be more wings with a boom, SO much better IMO, in every way
But I hear opposite opinions about this also - eventhough I dont understand them...
Of course, the well performing Duotone wing has issues when hanging free, but this should be solved by them, or others quite soon I think.

This doesn't solve the problem, but they are using the vertical plastic web that braces the front of the boom to stabilise it for wave riding- as the best they can do with the current Duotone boom.
