Did anyone see this? Saw it on the facebook kiteboarding group. Looks very worrying if it's the depower main line, if that thing breaks you're in trouble. Anyone know anything about it?

Yeah it is.
Does anyone have the link to check whether a serial number is eligible?

All customers who have purchased a North Navigator bar (particularly the early ones) should have already been contacted by the shop who sold it to them, if they haven't then they should contact the shop to arrange for the replacement part.

Info from North:
Please note that this is not a recall. A very small number of Control Systems from our first shipment of product to market (pre December 2019) has been affected. We ask consumers to get in direct contact with the retailer they brought their Control System from in order to confirm eligibility for the upgrade.

Seems very strange that they have none of this on their website or social media. Wouldn't you think if it is an 'upgrade' that's not a recall they would try and promote it? yet they're trying to swap out a key safety component of the bar that is vital for making it safe while not advertising it online...? Smells a bit fishy to me. I suppose when you bring out a new collection there are always going to be things that don't come out right. Ozone did it recently with their safety system, they seemed quite proactive about it.
