So you are talking about mini ribs, that cover 1/4 of the cord but on the LE portion? Can you name some examples of paragliders so I can look?

Other than anecdotal evidence I would weight the benefit to the TE mini ribs. Reason are that there is less material in the TE so lighter, the desired shape is made more in the TE, the LE is more desired to be round. One negative to the TE mini ribs is they slow water transgress.

We could try with both. I am not with access to a Chinese sweat shop to bang out protos. Maybe someone could try simulations on them.

It's a perfectly valid idea for foils. Hang gliders do have much higher L/D and maybe that is one reason why. Maybe air entry is more important than exit.

I always thought the entry was more important on, (All) airfoils ; everything
behind the high-point of the airfoil is not as important,(unless it's laminar-flow) which
our PG, Kites, and hang gliders are not.

If i have that wrong ; then i'd appreciate someone correcting me please ?
