Thanks for sharing that. I hadn't seen that in years and had forgotten about it. I love the general philosophy! None of us knows how long we have left!
A few weeks ago I went to a party for a fellow kiter who just turned 78.
Not trying to one-up or anything, just saying that there are people out there who live healthy and keep doing the things they love well into their retirement.
I'm not one of them, when I asked my friend his age, I told him I was pretty sure I'll be long dead before I get there.
I actually just ran in to him this afternoon, after trying to kite foil at a crappy park on the intercostal here.
The beaches are closed for most residents, but not for residents who own beach property or tourists who come and rent beach property or stay at beachfront hotels. Go figure.
He wanted to get out today, but he was wearing a heart monitor that couldn't get wet. High blood pressure, he said.
He was super-excited talking about wind foiling, because one of his friends just helped him tune his gear, and all of a sudden it seems super easy to him. The park we were at is walking distance from his condo and although it is a sketchy spot to kite, it's perfect for windsurfing.

I put Davids name forward to a production company who were making videos of people living life to the full in later life.
There are a few other videos of the older generation taking part in different sports.
David is still living life to the full, kitesurfing and skiing and a keen cyclist amongst quite a few other pastimes.
Awesome to see and very inspirational
